Mobile broadband relies on having a good reception. However you cannot assume the signal in your phone is comparable to what we achieve with an antenna.
It is recommend to use www.cellmapper.net to check locations of masts in your area. This is a trusted open source that has confirmed sighting and data interpreted mast locations.
The interactive map provided by Cellmapper allows you to filter carrier and type (3G, 4G, 5G etc). Showing mobile network quality all around the Globe.

99% of the Mobile Broadband surveys are performed in an area where there is poor quality internet (ADSL limited to 1Mbps upload bandwidth) and no fibre solutions are available to consumers, even if there is fibre in the road outside!
The high gain antenna points to a cellular mast (example pic) and is able to exceed expectations, as an example – increasing one customers broadband from 1mbps to a consistent 60mbps+ download and 30-40Mbps upload. Some 4G installs are even capable of 100Mbps in certain areas.
Examples of a typical install achieve 30-40Mbps download and upload, depending on carrier. Combined with a Ruckus Access Point and portable AC mains the survey can be anywhere on your property and give you a real world feel for what your investment will do.
This is sometimes an art rather than a science. For example sometimes stronger signals are found bouncing off buildings or into spaces you wouldn’t expect a signal to be as strong.
